BIOGRAPHY

Annika Huett is a collector at heart, transforming found objects into striking interior designs and artworks. "I save everything from kitschy souvenirs and vintage labels to wallpaper scraps and broken porcelain," she says. While primarily working as an illustrator, she also creates mosaic compositions, cross-stitch embroidery, and large-scale wall paintings. Her style is bold and decorative, featuring delicate, energetic pencil lines, painted textures, and a playful touch. Words often find their way into her illustrations, inspired by contemporary expressions she picks up from everyday life. Annika’s book Your Mother Doesn’t Work Here – A Modern Look at Cross-Stitch is a humorous tribute to embroidery. The book received widespread acclaim, leading to an exhibition at Kulturhuset in Stockholm and a best-selling embroidery kit for tea towels featuring witty messages like "But I did the dishes yesterday" and "Pure hell." Annika has collaborated with a diverse range of clients, including Natur & Kultur, Max Ströms Förlag, Semic Förlag, Rabén & Sjögren, Renée Voltair, Western Union, Dagens Nyheter, Damernas Värld, Wine & Food US, Vogue India, Vogue Japan, Svenska Dagbladet, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Airmail, Elle, ICA, NK, SL, Absolut, La Repubblica, Twilfit, Systembolaget, Coop, Gärsnäs, Operation Smile, Reitan, Valentino, Boffi de Padova, Le Bon Plat, and David Yurman, among many others.
